Turisas - The Varangian Way (2007)

É fato que o Turisas é uma das melhores bandas do gênero Folk/Viking Metal que existe, com seu estilo único e que agradou folk-metallers de todo mundo. O resultado desse sucesso pode ser visto no clipe "Battle Metal", criado agora em 2008 com participação especial dos fãs da banda pelo mundo (Link aqui!). Devido ao grande sucesso também no Brasil (cujo o publico é bem mais reduzido), teve seu primeiro CD - Battle Metal com tiragem nacional esgotada. Com o fechamento do braço nacional da gravadora Century Media por aqui, a Somber Music (um dos poucos bons selos nacionais especializados exclusivamente à Black/Viking e Folk metal) conseguiu os direitos da banda, lançando seu segundo CD - a trilha sonora épica "The Varangian Way".
Os varegues - "varangians" em inglês - foram povos escandinavos que viajaram para o leste e para o sul, vindos principalmente das áreas da Dinamarca e Suécia.Vivendo do comércio, pirataria e atividades mercenárias, eles percorreram os rios e portos do que mais tarde viria a ser a Rússia, chegando até o Mar Cáspio e Constantinopla.
Essa saga é contada é contada neste CD, que deve ser prioridade para os colecionadores do gênero!

In fact, Turisas are one of the best bands of Folk/Viking Metal genre that exists, with their unique style wich satisfied the folk-metallers de todo mundo. The result of this success can be watched in videoclip "Battle Metal", created in 2008 with the special guest of their fans around the world (Link here!). With the great success here in Brazil (wich the fans are so restricted in number), they have the first CD - Battle Metal sold out here. With the close of the national wing of Century Media (Century Media Brazil), the Somber Music (one of a few good recorder dedicated specially to Black/Viking and Folk metal) had buyed the rights of the band in Brazil, releasing Turisas second CD - the epic sound thriller "The Varangian Way".
The varagians were a scandinavian people that travelled to east ans south, came mainly from Denmark and Sweden. They had lived of trade, piracy and mercenary activities. They rides rivers and ports wich too late became be Russia, going until the Caspian Sea and Constantinople.
Their saga is singed in this CD, that must be priority in collection of fans of genre!
